Celebrities for Breakfast, captured and held my attention. Once I began reading this book, I could not put it down wanting to know what would happen next. The three main characters, Judith, Shannon and Ren draw you into their lives from Los Angeles to a Bed & Breakfast in a small town in Illinois. I found Celebrities for Breakfast to be three novels in one – dramatic, romantic and funny. I would recommend this book highly.
Shelley Stout does it again with her latest book, Celebrities for Breakfast. In this book, she takes you into the minds of three people who are experiencing the same events and allows you to see how their opinions and feelings change as time passes. I found this book to be a real page turner...hard to put it down because you want to know what happens next. I would definitely recommend this book.
I enjoyed this for the light-hearted read that it was intended to be. While I was captivated by the sheer sexual tension between Ren and Judith, I loved seeing how the events enfolded from pre-teen Shannon's point of view. If Shannon's journal entries had not been included, this would have been just another romance novel, read and then quickly forgotten. But having that simple element added to the story made it stick in my memory.
