Kate Douglas Wiggin

Kate Douglas Wiggin (September 28, 1856 - August 24, 1923) was an American children's author and educator. The best known of her children's books are The Birds' Christmas Carol (1887) and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1903). She was also a composer of music, including "Nine Love Songs and a Carol" (1896) for voice and piano.
