This topic is dedicated to thoughts on who you think should play the various characters in the "Cat Who..." series if Hollywood made movies out of the novels. Can anyone beat Tom Sellek as Qwill?

I have have heard people mention the actor that played "Coach" and in "District".
I have also heard Kelsey Grammer, though I DON'T agree with that.

I think that Craig T Nelson would make a good Qwill.

I apologize for having basketball on the brain, but it just occurred to me that the image I receive when reading about Qwill is one person: Phil Jackson, coach of the LA Lakers. I'm not a Lakers fan, having been a dyed-in-the-wool Spurs fan for a couple of decades, but for some reason, Jackson, tall, salt-and-pepper gray, facial hair, is what my mind conjures up.

I could go with Sam Elliott.

I have been watching a lot of old reruns of NCIS on TV, and it suddenly hit me that Mark Harmon might make a good Qwill. He is about Qwill's age, very attractive, and a more curmudgeonly person is hard to find. Couple that with the quiet way he listens to and reacts to everyone from hardened criminals or attractive women, and you have that elusive Qwill "empathy" factor.

Joyce, I do agree. For me, Tom Selleck would have been my first choice, but he may be too old to be Qwill now. So that leaves Mark!
