I would like to start a discussion on this little book.

I read it again this week, for the fourth or fifth time. It is such a good little book.
And the twists and turns and surprise ending is so captivating.

It is memorable because Polly and Qwill get together, both of Jr.'s parents die, ties the past to the present with Qwill's trip back to the fluxion with Jr.
And the past to the present with the addition of Harry Noyton to this book.
It causes Iris Cobb, a favorite character, much pain.
It introduces old time people telling stories.
I wish all LJB books could have been written like this one. If you read this book and then read The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell, it is very hard to believe they were written by the same person.

That's very interesting, I didn't notice a difference until 60 WISKERS and there was such a glaring difference between that book and the others. I loved this book for it was the first time Qwill had a credible companion in Polly.
