I’ve been meaning to publish some of Wollstonecraft’s writings. I read some chapters of Letters Written in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and it’s quite good. Here is an article from the Guardian about this book:

Has anyone else ready any Wollstonecraft? Thoughts?

"A Vindication of the Rights of Women" appears to have been an inspiration to many of the authors whose books Girlebooks will be reviewing in the near future. Writers such as Judith Sergeant Murray, the first American feminist woman of letters, Susanna Rowson, first American woman novelist to produce a best seller, Margaret Fuller, the only female member of the Transcendentalist Intelligentsia, and poet Frances Sargent Osgood have all indicated that their politics and their writing have been influenced Wollstonecraft's work.

Quite interesting. We have some of Margaret Fuller's writings on the site already. Did you read about these authors in Showalter's book?

All of them are mentioned in Showalter's book. (Showalter, Elaine, A Jury of Her Peers, Kindle Edition.)
