I'm particularly impressed with Matthew Macfadyen. He's quite a good actor--despite his so-so performance in Pride and Prejudice.

In the Weekend Wall Street Journal (May 2-3, 2009), Tina Brown listed Middlemarch as one of the five best novels about the vagaries of reputation. She mentioned that this is her favorite of the five. Little Dorrit was also mentioned in this list
