This is the forth in Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables series (chronologically it is the fifth book after Anne of the Windy Poplars, written in 1936). It was first published in 1917 and chronicles Anne’s early married life, as she and her childhood sweetheart Gilbert Blythe begin to build their life together.
Hi,
I’m waiting for the following books :
Anne of the Windy Poplars
Anne of Ingleside
Rainbow valley
Rila Ingleside
We can’t publish Anne of Windy Poplars and Anne of Ingleside since they are not public domain (they were written after 1923). However, you can get them at Project Gutenberg Australia.
I will publish Rainbow Valley and Rila of Ingleside soon…
It looks like the following Montgomery books (in addition to the ones posted) are in the public domain:
Kilmeny of the Orchard (1910)
The Story Girl (1911)
The Golden Road (1913) (sequel to The Story Girl)
Rainbow Valley (1919) (sequel to Anne of Ingleside)
Rilla of Ingleside (1921) (sequel to Rainbow Valley)
Emily of New Moon (1923)
Short Story Collections:
Chronicles of Avonlea (1912)
Further Chronicles of Avonlea (1920)
Thanks for that list, Tracey. I have been meaning to publish more LM Montgomery. I will do so soon, promise!
I don’t think Emily of New Moon is public domain in the US, though. It is in Australia, however:

Hello Anne fans, I’ve just put Rainbow Valley and Rilla of Ingleside in the ebook catalog. I will follow with her other books later. Enjoy!
In this book, we finally get to see the culmination of Anne & Gilbert’s love story.
It takes us from the familar environs of Avonlea to the other side of the Island – Four Winds. And to an environment that is not so idyllic as Avonlea. We encounter suicide, bullying and see life in a fishing village and port.
We also meet wonderful new characters – such as Captain Jim and Miss Cornelia and the tragic figure of Leslie West.
Anne’s life as a married woman is not all happy, and she faces a tragedy in the early years of her marriage.
Yes – I love the “Anne” books and was pleased to see that the “Story Girl” books are available through Project Gutenberg here in Australia. Personally – my favorite of LM Montgomery’s books though is “Jane of Lantern Hill” and hope it will soon come into public domain!
