Shawn Nilsen is a strong-willed woman who has just been jilted by her fiancé. Shawn flees to Alaska and is hired by Drake's father to work on a crab fishing boat. Five stars for "Alaskan Healing." Lana made me feel like I was right there on the boat, being tossed around not only by the sea but by the emotions of her realistic characters, too. I love that Shawn is such a strong, take-charge woman.
I'll be anxiously awaiting the next book out by this author!

This is a very true depiction of how Alaska really is! I lived in a fishing village for 23 years, before I met my British husband and moved to England. I'm a professional musician, and spent a lot of time in Dutch Harbor, playing to the fishermen who were enjoying some RnR. It's a very hard life, that of an Alaskan fisherman, and even harder for their
women.
