		<description>Agreed, it&#039;s a good romp!  Longwinded by modern standards, and the archaic spelling and layout can be a bit offputting to begin with, but Charlotte Lennox definitely had a sense of humour!  

I wonder if Jane Austen knew it?  There are obvious similarities to Northanger Abbey, where the innocent heroine  has to learn that real life bears little resemblance to the Gothic novels she loves to read...</description>
